Hello Friends,

I am new to Atmel Studio 7.0 and i am using this IDE to program my  ATTiny 104 controller.

I didn't change the default settings of lock bits and Fuses while programming. I was able to program my controller for a couple of times.

But now the IDE doesn't read the device signature.Did my controller get locked ?

If my guess is right, how can i unlock my controller?

I am attaching the screenshot of the error shown herewith.

Looking forward for a reply/help from any experienced Atmel users

Thanks

Matthews

There is not a lot of experience here with these new generation of AVR's, but if you did not change any fuses, then verify your programmer to board connections.

BreadBoards are famous for flaky connections, if your using one.

The tiny wires in the ISP cable can break when pulling connector off of header pins, this can be fixed easily, ask if this is the problem.

It is common to see this problem if no power is on the mpu, most AVR programmers do not supply power to circuit, it must be provided elsewhere.

Hope this list helps.
