Hi all,

I've got ARM Cortex M4 based kit SAM4E Xplaied Pro and wanto to do a C++ development on it using Atmel Studio 7. But even a sample C++ project fails to build, when I add ASF packagaes to it, like Standard Serial I/O (stdio) and try to compile Hello World program using printf.

I got these errors:

Severity Code Description Project File Line

Error recipe for target 'src/ASF/sam/drivers/pmc/sleep.o' failed GccApplication2 D:\Projects\AtmelStudio\GccApplication2\GccApplication2\Debug\Makefile 337

So, could you please tell me how to create just a plain "Hello world" C++ example and to build a nd run , printing message on the serial terminal ?

thanks

Forget the "Error List" - it is utterly hopeless. Look at the "Ouptut" tab and see what the actual errors reported actually were.

So why are you hijacking a Mega/Tiny AVR thread, then?

And a 6-year-old one, at that!
