I recently had to update my edbg code (AS required edbg code update before it would flash the Samd21) and ever since AS crashes when I try to use QTouch. If I leave the board unplugged I can start QTouch just fine. As soon as I plug the board in AS crashes. Seems like an issue with the USB driver but I dunno. Any help appreciated, like how to roll back the USB driver or edbg code.

Solved! Thanks to awesome support from my local AE Eric Feign it is all fixed and working correctly now. The simple fix was to put EDBG Kit Mode settings in DGI mode instead of the default automatic mode.

Details:

Go to View -> Available Atmel Tools. A new window will open showing EDBG and other tools that are installed. Right click on EDBG and select Show Kit Mode Settings. Change the Select Mode pull-down from Automatic to DGI and click Set. I don't know if it is necessary, but I rebuilt and reloaded my project and power cycled my SAMD21 board. Qtouch/AS is now stable and I can plot my data. Happiness!
