I find Octopart quite handy.... only supplier outside of Microchip that seem to have stock https://www.schukat.com/schukat/...

Hm...thanks. Seems the orders need to be min 250EUR for orders outside EU.

I wonder if anyone local (Australia/NSW) has surplus stocks and could post me few, for a given price.

Does it have to be that specific part number?

Could you not "make do" with some other variant?

Hmm, that is maybe why they have stock :)

It's the same chip as ATSAMD21-XPRO, I guess you already though of ordering those and desoldering the chip?

Are there other family members that you could use temproarily?

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.

I've never met a pig I didn't like, as long as you have some salt and pepper.

Its interesting...I check now and first one still shows 40 available...and 2nd one shows 0 available. Even though first one 40 available...you must select 160 as minimum quantity is set to that? Yet pricing is available for 1?? What the?

Third party sites don't always pick up the right data. But seems like ATSAMD21J18A-AU has gone, nothing showing on MicrochipDirect. There are ATSAMD21J18A-AF available. Act quickly.

Funny, one thing I expected from Microchip is that they would apply their legendary supply ability to Atmel products (whose reputation for supply was a bit patchy). I don't know if it has got worse, but it doesn't seem to have got better.
