I started a commercial service of vehicles tracking and fleet managment using GPS GSM/GPRS to send data to my server. I have been front of various problems.

1. The network here in Cameroon is not everywhere.
2. Customers want to identify the driver before allow it to drive the car or truck
3. Customers need to be able to switch between several GSM Networks Availables.
4. Where there is no network we need to store data on a flash memory for future transfer to server.
5. The customers want to know the quantity of fuel the vehicle as consumed to avoid fuel trafric.
6. Be able to do smart stop of the engine when the speed is under a certain value in case of Hijack.

These are the Elementary features of the device.
I have drawed a small diagram to represent my idea. And I need participants to make this dream becomes reality.

I'm not sure I can spot the question in all that but if you are looking for engineers to work for you on the implementation of this project I'll move this thread to "Trading Post" where it belongs

I have good knowledge in electronics. This time, I'm looking for modules at good prices before posting the first electronic diagram.
Modules like:
GSM/GPRS = SIM300DZ
GPS = SKG25B (skylab)
Flash = ATMEL0747
MCU = ATMEGA64L
POWER CIRCUIT = LM2576S
Darlington Output = ULN2003A
RFID MODULE = ??? not yet

I know the problem is that i'm in Cameroon/Africa when a device price is more than a certain value, you cannot sell it. I want to make manufacture a device no more than $150.

My service has 2 parts:
1.) With recurring service
2.) With free Access.

Here in Cameroon Internet is still expensive. We have 2 Mobile phone Operators, MTN & Orange. MTN gives a fixed service of $50/month for GPRS access postpaid. Orange gives $0.002/KB of GPRS exchange in prepaid.
I prefer Orange for my project.

For the requiring services I will charge $30/month including GPRS fees. The service is Vehicle, Fleet management Real time tracking, Email Alert, Email Reports, Fuel management, Drivers management, security control, tires, oil, filters, spare parts, etc... And i have customers needed this service.

The second part of my service is free. Just buy the tracker, no monthly charges just for anti Hijack service. The vehicle is not tracked until we activate the tracking function when to the customer is in Hijack. The GPRS charges are not in our charge. And in the web platform, the user has just minimized functions.

Our service is http://www.malambi.com the backend software is till under construction.

He's a spammer... they don't mind how old a topic is, their purpose is to get the links posted. The text of his post is largely a copy/paste of advertising material for his company. Probably 50% of the time old threads are resurrected, it is by spammers, who are trying to disguise their spamming.

At the very least, the post should be moved to 'Marketplace'.
