FYI - This was put on the home page as an announcement but I thought it would probably be a good idea to put it here also.

----------

Are you up for a challenge?  Do you have what it takes to create something amazing and innovative?

Hackster brings Adafruit, Atmel, Arduino and Microsoft together for the largest Arduino Maker Challenge ever held.  This two-phase challenge is sure to be competitive so be sure to bring your "game".

Phase 1

1,000 makers who submit the best ideas will win the newly released Arduino MKR1000 (US only) and Genuino MKR1000 (Outside US) boards powered by Atmel.

Phase 2

Three finalists who submit the best completed projects will be selected to showcase their projects; a professional video production of you and your creation; and a whopping $500 gift certificate to Adafruit.  And, these individuals will also be showcased on Atmel’s Social Media channels—one of the largest semiconductor social media footprints in the world.

Visit the Hackster site for more information and to register.

Just keep in mind the contest REQUIRES the use of applications that run on Windows 10 and genuine Arduino parts.

It's free to enter! Right.

I was oh so tempted to comment when I saw the M$haft connection but decided there was already enough negativity in the world... so I didn't. devil

Is there any chance to get this board as a clone? I would be interested to find it on Chinese websites?

Is this board considered to be official so the third party manufacturers should provide clone versions? << Concept question for me, because I want to know about third party field.

Simply putting the board name into google gives, as the first hit:

Given the board is new it is unlikely to be available as a clone.  The SAMW25 Xplained Pro isn't even available for online purchase yet.

Of course :) What a dumb question, sorry. It's also just released, there won't be any clones at least now!

Thanks,

Appears to be with the best price at

http://www.microchipdirect.com/ProductSearch.aspx?Keywords=ATSAMW25-XPRO

but would likely ship from Arizona to UK so the freight charge would need evaluation.

There are several other distributors :
