Can someone recommend me a good, cheap PCB fabrication house in UK/Europe? I live in UK, but the ones I have found here have been very expensive, getting on to be too expensive unless you are mass producing. I'm sure someone around here has already found some good ones that I have not. I won't have to pay customs duty and inport VAT on products from within the EU, so they might still be cheaper even if the postage is expensive.

I'm not really fussy, as long as they can reliably produce standard 1.6mm FR4 double sided boards with clearance for MSOP (about 12mil gap between pads) and TQFP, with silkscreen, soldermask and air-leveled tinned (or optionally gold plated) pads. These should all be standard, so the main things are that they won't send me boards with broken/bridged tracks and that they're cheap.

Cheers,
Matt

I use PCB-Pool and PCB Train. They aren't cheap, but the quality is excellent.

Why in the EU. As always, things are much cheaper in China.
I use http://www.pcbwing.com
Top quality. Fast. Cheap.

The quick black AVR jumped over the lazy PIC.

Unfortunately Olimex still don't support 0.3mm via's. PCB Pool is good, I used them a couple of times for a 6 layer board.

I recommend EzPCB. Not in Europe but ship worldwide. Start at only $50 (free shipping) but can fab very complicated boards. Excellent quality and service.

I think you'll find that even taking those costs into account that few in the EU will compete with the best Far East prices.

Actually if the board is small, you may get a order with itead under the limit.

In Denmark the limit is 15.6USD, which with shipping should get you 5pcs 5x5cm boards from itead, maybe your local limits are better (or worse).

Agreed about China.. Seeedstudio /itead for small run prototypes- very cost effective but you have to cut the board to your own profile. I use PCBcart.com
Excellent service and there is a thread elsewhere detailing the numerous companies. As above ( and for me) even with duty(none) and shipping costs are way less than any UK suppliers that I know of. Either way you have to pay vat, except that from China, you will pay vat on the shipping cost and the customs clearance.
Bite the bullit, you'll never look back, sadly :(

you could try euro circuits www.eurocircuits.com
they have the option to do electrical testing of your board, so you now each board is OK.
Also you have "Vermeulen Print Service" http://www.vps.nu they seem to have dropped a lot in price and are getting into the range where they do get interesting for small series.
then there is cyner or ACB if they still exist... so those are the companies I know do PCB manufaturing.
We always tend to use eurocircuits as they seem to be the cheapest and give relative good quality PCB's plus that we have a PCB template set up for them so that when we make a board we know that when it passes the design rules test there will be no problem in production.

Hello!

For anyone who is looking for PCBs to be manufactured at extremely competitive prices head over to our website www.jrelectronics.co.uk

We offer low priced, very high quality 2 or 4 layer PCBs with short lead times (14 days typical). Check out the website or ZIP your gerber files and send them over to enquiries@jrelectronics.co.uk and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

We also have a PCB population service which won't be beaten in price.

Thank you!

Hmmm... doesn't seem to be any information at all there.

As a UK company, I think you are at least required to give your VAT & Company registration numbers - possibly also a real-world address (Registered Office).

Given that the thread is specifically soliciting such information, I don't think you can call it spam - which is, by definition, unsolicited :?:

but the site is still under construction.....
if someone wants to check them out you get to a non working site. do not know what garbage they install without one knowing..
so in this case it is spam.....

I still don't think it counts as spam.

Whether you consider "JR Electronics" a bona fide, reputable company to do business with is an entirely different matter...

I am also an electrical designer, which often uses PCB in my works.
Here I recommend a good PCB fab which I buy my PCB for my projects.

Firtly, show some PCB for my parts.2 kinds, the blue is 2layer,1.6mm Blue sold mask. It is like the size of a coin. And the Red PCB is 4 layer, Red sold-mask.

So you've quoted the OP's specific request for a PCB fabrication house in UK/Europe?

But that is a Chines operation;  it is not in UK/Europe - is it?

Why do you reply to a thread that is over a year old, and you have already made a new tread wich also indicates that you are way to expensive......
