Hello there,

I have a custom PCB containing AT91SAM7S512 chip and JTAG connector. It seems that Atmel Studio 7 does not support this type of the processor (I can not see it there).

I would like to know is it possible for me to program this chip with ATMEL-ICE tool? Also, which IDE can I use to develop the code and compile it?

Thank you very much for your time and efforts.

Sincerely,

Bojan.

According To this:
http://www.atmel.com/webdoc/atmelstudio/supported.devices.SAM.html
The answer is No.

There are pin compatible parts in the sam3/4 product range. This would make your job easier.

Atmel Studio 7 doesn't support SAM7/9.

You could use SAM-BA for prgramming the internal flash (with SAM-ICE or over USB)

Every IDE which supports SAM7, most of them are commercial products (IAR, Keil,..) but there are also some GCC based IDE's available. You could also try to use the debugger from Segger.
