Hi - I've been thinking about how to do low-bandwidth signalling in *very* remote places (jungle, etc) using walkie-talkie radios, and while HAM radio APRS on AVR is tried-and-true (see: http://www.mobilinkd.com/hacking/ ) , I was wondering if it's reasonable to try to port the Atmel Lightweight mesh lib ( http://www.atmel.com/tools/LIGHT... ) to run 1/2 duplex on a UART at 4800 baud ...

anyone have experience with the Lightweight mesh and/or thoughts about this endeavor ...

thanks!

Chris
