I need any info about MDB/ICP and executive protocols.
I had never heard of STFW. Thanks
what are you working on? i might be able to help you
i'll check my notes but be more spesific
what level is the machine you use?
I put in exactly your search terms "mdb/icp protocol" to google. Looks like you can purchase the spec for $40.00. This was the 4th link in the list ...
"Life is just one damn thing after another" Elbert Hubbard (1856 - 1915)
Looks like you can purchase the [MDB] spec for $40.00.
I'm interested in the 2nd half of the question - the "Executive" (or "Protocol-A") interface.
Unfortunately, Googling for this just gets swamped in references to vending machines, coin-mechs, etc, that support "Exec" and I haven't yet found a proper specification.
I know that "Exec" was developed as a proprietary standard by Mars (MEI) - but is it now published anywhere? Or do I have to contact MEI?
Yes, you need to contact MEI to request a copy of the document.
This can take a while, as their "support" site is well defended!
The full document details are:
TITLE: MEI 20 mA Protocol A Specification
COPYRIGHT (C) 1982-1995 MARS ELECTRONICS INTERNATIONAL
You can contact MEI via their website (eventually):
Any update on the Executive specifications?
